Tennis – “We Can Die Happy”
Tennis has a way of making the world a bit more glittery, more magical. You listen to the duo of Alaina Moore and Patrick Riley wax on about love and deeper human emotions in way that feels like teardrops smuggled within moonbeams.
Its all joyous but beneath the surface there’s a lot being said.
Even so, it’s got me feeling like holding hands with a cutie while skating on a roller rink.
“We Can Die Happy”, much like other Tennis’ records, is bright but not particularly exciting in a way that’s distracting. As in, it’s the perfect soundtrack for cooking dinner or hosting some friends. its sets the mood without taking away from the moment, and i appreciate that.
