With her debut album “Sprained Ankle”, Julien Baker made a name for herself at just 20 years old. Her music is stripped down, emotional and heartbreaking, as well as unbelievably beautiful. Since then she’s recorded songs with Touche Amore and Frightened Rabbit. But her new album turn out the lights is some of the most achingly gorgeous indie pop of the year with songs that aren’t loud but are certainly meant for singing along to from the front row.
